International auto giant Marelli company in China set up the first 12 factories opened in Changchun on the 20th. Marelli President Pietro Gorlier (Gao Lau) frankly optimistic about the Chinese market, that the Chinese auto market in the next decade will have a faster development.
Marelli, which has 86 production bases and 12 R & D centers in 19 countries, is mainly designed and produced for the automotive industry. High-end systems and components, including Volkswagen, Fiat Chrysler, GM, Mercedes-Benz and FAW, BYD and many other well-known enterprises.
Prior to this, Marelli has been known as China's automobile city of Changchun set up a joint venture to produce auto parts. Changchun, said the location, not only because of their strategic location in Changchun, but also because many are committed to creating high-tech value-added important customers gathered here.
The new plant, jointly owned by Marelli and Changchun Fu Di Equipment Technology Development Co., Ltd., is mainly responsible for the production of lamp technology products. The factory covers an area of 30,000 square meters and is expected to achieve an annual output of 1 million headlights and 500,000 Taillights, 90% of products will supply China's domestic market. The first batch of products to be put into production this month will be installed on Audi brand vehicles.
Maurelli China Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sylvain Dubois (Du Bohua) said that the establishment of this factory, making Marelli in China's domestic layout tends to perfect.
China's auto market production and sales in recent years, rising, so that the demand for auto parts is also growing. "We have set up five factories in recent years." Du Bohua said that in 2016 Marelli's Chinese market, the growth rate of business is 30%, this year is expected to exceed this figure.
