GAC hopes to export cars to Canada by 2020, the Toronto Globe and Mail reported.
The Guangzhou Auto Group is a state-owned auto company that aims to export the United States in 2019 and then sells cars to Canada in 2020.
The report also said last week, SAIC's top brass visited Canada to investigate the Canadian car market.
The Globe and Mail reported that SAIC had just begun to study the Canadian car market, as the SAIC representative told the Canadian auto industry to meet. Less than two months ago, Ontario Prov. Sandra Pupatello, a former trade minister, called on Chinese auto companies to invest in Canada.
